Indigenous Experiential Learning: Cattail Basketry and Mats
Faculty, Instructors and Staff are welcome to participate in a hands-on craft workshop Indigenous Experiential Learning: Cattail Basketry and Mats. Participants will create a small mat or basket from cattail reeds and learn of their cultural history, use and purpose.
There are content connections and applications within Visual Arts, Education, Anthropology, History, Science, Engineering, Natural Resources Management, Geology, Biology (Plant), Mathematics, and Indigenous Learning.
