Indigenous (Ojibwe and Cree) Cultural Astronomy

Faculty and Instructors are welcome to attend this workshop lecture on Indigenous Cultural Astronomy. Intended to broaden understandings of Ojibwe and Cree peoples’ ways of knowing, this lecture presents the ways in which Ojibwe and Cree peoples attribute meaning to the planets, stars and sky, and construct cosmologies which impact culture and sacred stories. Faculty/Instructors with interest in this topic as it pertains to their faculty/department, or if of a personal interest, are welcome to attend.
