Rules of Engagement: Tips & Techniques for Fostering Deep Learning in the classroom
November 16, 2017
1:30 PM to 3:30 PM (EST)

Description: Success in courses shouldn’t be defined solely by participation, completion of an activity or the grades that are achieved. If students have truly expanded their skills and knowledge, they will be able to apply their new knowledge to work, community and daily life. So what steps can we take as instructors and facilitators to ensure our students are learning deeply? In this webinar we’ll discuss how we can maximize student engagement so that our students move beyond surface or strategic learning. Drawing on what work on neuro-science has told us about how to foster deep learning, we’ll present practical tips you can use and share with your students to help them better retain what they’ve learned and foster lifelong learning.
