Indigenous Experiential Learning: Loom Beading
Faculty, Instructors and Staff are welcome to participate in a hands-on craft workshop Indigenous Experiential Learning: Loom Beading. Participants will create a small piece of loom beadwork and learn of their cultural history, use and purpose, and pattern and finishing styles. There are content connections and applications within Visual Arts, Education, Anthropology, History, Mathematics, Engineering, and Indigenous Learning.
This workshop is at no cost to participants. Please note that this activity uses small beads and detailed work, please bring reading/crafting glasses as needed.
Please bring your own lunch/snacks and water.
