Integrating Climate Change into Your Teaching at Lakehead - Part 1. Dr. Paul Berger and Dr. Ellen Field

What are you, or do you wish you were, doing about climate change in your teaching? Join us for this interactive session where we briefly describe the urgent need for climate action and then open the floor to discuss what climate change education is already happening and how we can infuse more in our teaching across our campuses. We will also weave into our discussion research-informed best practices of climate change education that move beyond knowledge and understanding to fostering leadership and action.

***note that part two will be held in the new year.

Speakers:

Paul Berger

Ellen Field

Paul Berger is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education and a climate change activist with Citizens United for a Sustainable Planet. He teaches Climate Change Education to BEd and MEd students and studies climate change teaching and learning with colleague Ellen Field. Paul works to raise citizen awareness of climate change and pressure elected officials to tackle climate change with much greater ambition.
