As more publishers and funders, including the Tri-Council of Canada, introduce research data management requirements, it is a good time to get up to speed. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of Data Management Plans (DMP) and open data deposit. This will include exposure to resources and tools to support you throughout your work, including: DMP Assistant, DMP examples from various disciplines, Lakehead Dataverse, and the Federated Research Data Repository. 

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

• Describe what a Data Management Plan (DMP) is, as well as a data repository. 
• Understand how to access DMP Assistant and see DMP examples from various disciplines, Lakehead Dataverse, and the Federated Research Data Repository.
